Michael K. McGee, CPA Stockholder Mike, the founder of the firm, has more years of experience than he likes to count within the accounting profession. After graduating from Southern Illinois University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, he went on to spend 4 years in the Wisconsin Department of Revenue before joining a public accounting firm in 1981. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1985 and started the firm in September 1990. Since that time, the firm has grown from a one man operation to a well rounded team of individuals with the common goal of assisting clients in solving their current problems. Denise Ewing Staff Accountant Denise joined the firm in January 1999. A transplant from a Chicago suburb, she attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical School, from which she received a degree in Accounting in 1994. She is proficient in payroll processing, monthly financial and general ledger work and controllership duties. Denise also initiates all electronic filing for forms, reports and returns. She is married, has three sons and six (soon seven) grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her grandchildren, swimming, working with her horses and riding her dirt bike. dewing@mcgeecpa.com
Ashleigh Hollier Staff Accountant Ashleigh joined the firm in January 2011 upon moving to Madison from her hometown of Lafayette, LA. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of Louisiana, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accountancy. Prior to graduation, she acquired three years of experience in a corporate accounting environment. An alumna of Delta Delta Delta sorority, Ashleigh is passionate about travel and history and loves outdoor concerts, reading and college football. ahollier@mcgeecpa.com
Lisa Saucke Staff Accountant Lisa joined the firm in July 2011. A native of Illinois, she has lived in Wisconsin since high school. She received her accounting education at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in the city where she and her husband raised their children. Lisa has worked in accounting in both the public and private sectors for the past twenty years, and is especially adept at small business accounting software systems. She loves spending time with her husband, Steve, their children, dogs and close extended family. Lisa also enjoys quilting in the winter and gardening in the summer. lsaucke@mcgeecpa.com
Mona Clarke Office Manager Mona joined the firm in August 1998. Her voice is usually the one you will hear first upon calling. She directs telephone traffic and initiates the work flow to the staff. Along with these duties, she is the administrative assistant and office manager. She has a keen ability to remember all of whom she encounters and a knack for making each of them feel special and important. Mona is also the mother of two grown daughters and a grandmother of three. In her spare time, she enjoys crossword puzzles, reading, traveling and visiting lighthouses. mclarke@mcgeecpa.com
